The Balsamic Moon

Moon

Moon phases are another sector of astrology that has merit and should be used in chart delineation, which brings me to the most sensitive placement of the moon in the eighth and final lunar moon phase. The Balsamic Moon also called Dark Moon is three days before the New Moon. This moon archetype is Pisces, it finalizes the moon phases, and also creates room for new growth and germinating of any item that needs a safe place to prosper. This moon phase can have a profound affect on the moon signs, regardless of moon sign the Balsamic Moon will give a more introspective and reflective personality than otherwise seen by moon sign. If the moon sign is already in a contemplative sign this only heightens the trait.

Balsamic Moon creates a Piscean watery layer to the moon, which gives prophetic abilities or vivid dreams relating to the past and the future. This karmic position makes people sensitive to others, and there can be a feeling of lost in relationships, changes, and upheaval in connecting to the environment. Life can shift and be inconstant as one continues to meet demands, circulate thoughts, and create/finalize communications. Finales and good-byes are a common occurrence in the life of a Balsamic Moon native. These upsets can make these people feel like they don’t belong on Earth, they may feel isolated, misunderstood and alienated from peers, family, or goals. Life may seem strange or indifferent, one doesn’t have the same goals as the majority of society, they can lean more towards the spiritual. Many times these people begin to seek more substance by going inward, as the material plane is no longer sufficient to provide the growth they need to progress to their final goals in this life. Balsamic Moon people know themselves and may feel like they have a special gift to offer the World, what that is takes time to manifest. They have a strong need to establish some type of merging of their unconsciousness with an ideal that they can stand by, this doesn’t come easy, this is a slow and contemplative moon phase that grows much stronger as time passes. They prefer to watch on the sidelines for a while, but they truly want to make a difference in the World and its inhabitants — people or animal.

Balsamic people are like a strong, quiet, resilient soul,  a iceberg in the middle of the ocean, what you see is immensely more deeper than you imagined.

This is a thinking/mental moon phase, it needs to digest and take in the senses, to understand the inner workings, human condition, and the holistic World. They need to know how things fit within the large scheme of past and future, they are very concerned with the future because they are future-oriented people, nothing is of comfort in this life as everything feels more like an episode of “Groundhog Day”. Situations can be repeated, memories constantly played back, or dreams duplicated. This is because the person is coming to terms with all the memories they have created in the immediate past and the memories they are not conscious of from the distant past — the shadow material from past lives, they must now learn the practice of letting go, and letting the Universe take care of them.
